Called "The Lanai" for its many inviting porches, the Summer White House is an original Berkshire Cottage. It was constructed in 1885 for New Yorker, J. Egmont Schermerhorn.

Our graceful and comfortable home is furnished with a fine collection of antiques. The library, replete with volumes on every subject, also contains a seven-foot concert grand piano making this a setting conducive to beautiful music.
Our living room, decorated in traditional style, contains a fine collection of American paintings. We invite our guests to linger in this graceful setting.
